The mountain is named after the Muslim saint Baba Budan. There are three caves here. Three siddhas are obscured here. Siddhas are religious oracles. During the Deepavali or Diwali festival, a beacon is lighted. The beacon is placed here.

Kallathigiri Falls

Agumbe is surrounded by rich biodiversity and the hill station borders one of the last surviving lowland rain forests. Since Agumbe is home to several rare species of medicinal plants like Garcinia, Myristica, Listsaea, Diospyrous, Hoiligarna, Eugenia and Ficus among others, it is also called ‘Hasiru Honnu’ which means ‘green is gold’. During rains, Agumbe and the surrounding region come alive with several waterfalls; Kunchikal Falls, Barkana Falls, Onake Abbi Falls and Jogigundi Falls are some of the popular ones.

Bandaje Falls -Bandaje Falls -

Bandaje falls is a waterfall located in the Charmadi ghat section of the Western Ghats in the Belthangady taluk of Dakshina Kannada district, Karnataka. The waterfalls can be reached only by undertaking trekking in thick forests and grass lands with the help of local guides and in summer the waterfalls goes dry. The height of waterfalls is about 200 feet.

Manjarabad Fort -

This fort was erected by the Mysore of ruler Tipu Sultan in order to set up a defensive location. It was ideal for this purpose because it controls the ways in nearby coastal areas that could be used to access the plateau beyond Sakleshpur. During Tipu Sultan’s rule, this fort was used for storing ammunitions as well as spotting British army approaching towards them from Mangalore.

Halebidu (which used to be called Dorasamudra or Dwarasamudra) was the regal capital of the Hoysala Empire in the 12th century. It is home to some of the best examples of Hoysala architecture. Most notable are the ornate Hoysaleshwara and Kedareshwara temples. The city got the name “Halebidu” because it was ransacked two times during the invasion of Malik Kafur.

Magajahalli Water Falls -

Magajalli falls is a roadside waterfall nestled in the Western ghats near the town of Sakleshpur in Karnataka. It’s calm, serene, undisturbed and easy to miss unless you have a local person with you. Very nice waterfall cascading for about 20 feet in its glory. Waterflow will be there almost throughout the year. It’s just 11 kms from Edge stay.

Bettadadevara Gudi -

Bettada Baireshwara is an ancient temple which is said to be over 600 years old. It is an hilltop temple and overlooks the entire valley. Stand there and get mesmerized by the glorious views of the hills in the Western Ghats and the valley and wonder how someone thought of building a temple here. God Baireshwara seems to stand guard over the entire valley. There is a nice motorable road, though steep, leading to the temple. One can also climb up to the temple through steps that have been built. The temple is just 10 kms from the Edge stay.

Pandava hills is located near Bettadadevara Gudi, in Mudigere taluk. The freshness of the air, the misty hill, the moment we climb half the hill the question arises will we be able to climb top of the hill? but we can. It is an trecker place where we can enjoy the walk in grassland and amazing sunset view from peak need to be experienced. There is a story told by elders that Pandavas in Mahabharata had stayed during Vanavasa. We can see some beliefs through big grinding stones etc. It’s an ultimate sightseeing in the whole surrounding. So this place is gradually becoming more and more popular. This hill is just 11 kms from the homestay.

Mullayanagiri is the highest peak in Karnataka, India. Mullayanagiri is located in the Datta Peeta range of the Western Ghats of Chikmagalur Taluk. With a height of 1,930 metres (6,330 ft), it is the highest peak between the Himalayas and the Nilgiris. Mullayanagiri is one of the best trekking place in Karnataka and South India.
